Moin,

es ist wieder ein weiteres Ortssippenbuch in Sicht. Nachdem ich das
Erscheinen bereits im Juli beim monatlichen Treffen der
Familienforschungsgruppe Esens angekündigt habe, folgt hiermit die
offizielle Ankündigung in den relevanten Mailinglisten.

Gemeinsam mit Frau Hannelore Niemeyer erstelle ich z. Z. das OSB für
Carolinensiel in Ostfriesland. Die Kirchengemeinde Carolinensiel wurde
1776 gegründet und ging aus dem Kirchspiel Funnix hervor.

Die Transskription wurde von Frau Niemeier abgeschlossen und die Daten
werden von uns in eine Datenbank übertragen. Bis jetzt wurden Heiraten,
Taufen und Beerdigungen von ca. 4.000 Personen erfaßt.

Als Seehafen an der ostfriesischen Nordseeküste entwickelte sich rasch
ein florierender Seehafen, der in kurzer Zeit an Bedeutung zunahm und im
19. Jahrhundert nach Emden an zweiter Stelle im Handelvolumen stand.

Der Zeitpunkt der Fertigstellung wird voraussichtlich im kommenden Jahr
sein. Über den Seitenumfang und den Preis kann ich leider noch keine
verbindliche Auskunft geben.

Moin all,

a new familiybook (OSB) is coming! After I have announced the release in
july at the monthly meeting from the Familiy researching Group in the
city of Esens this is the official announcement for this book in some
relevant mailing lists.

In corporate with Mrs. Hannelore Niemeier I am creating the OSB for
Carolinensiel in Ostfriesland. The parish of Carolinensiel is founded in
1776. In the time before Carolinensiel was part of the parish of Funnix.

The transscription is already finished by Mrs. Niemeier and now we are
filling a database with the contents of the parish registers. To this
day we have entered the marriages, christenings and burials of about
4,000 persons.

As a sea harbour at the north sea coast in Ostfriesland Carolinensiel
developped rapidly to a prosperous harbour with a high amount of
transactions. In the 19th century Carolinensiel was the number two in 
the ranking of all sea harbours in Ostfriesland behind Emden.

The estimated time of relase is in 2011. Unfortunately we are not able
to say how many pages will be in the OSB. Also the price is actually
unknown.
