Hello All,

I just uploaded the Germans in Canada webpage, now that I have had a chance to make most of the suggested alterations. I've done everything requested EXCEPT the following, which I just need a little time to look at more closely:

1) Explaining briefly where the name "Canada" comes from -- I know the old story more or less from memory, but I want to get the details straight from a reliable source before I write anything.

2) Canadian passenger ship lists -- give me a bit of time to look at this again, and thank you for those specific references that you forwarded to me. [Richard Heli et al.]

3) So far, I haven't altered my use of the word "mercenaries"; I understand that I might have used it incorrectly in one or more instances, and I wonder if Monika or Mr. Merz could clarify that point for me?

I have also just subscribed to the mailing list via majordomo@genealogy.net. Anything else I should be aware of as a newcomer?
