Here is what I found:Das Amt wurde 1859 im Zuge einer Gemeindereform aufgelöst und den Kreisstädten Nienburg und Neustadt zugeteilt.
Translated it says:The office was resolved 1859 in the course of a community reform and dispatching to the district towns Nienburg and Neustadt.
This would be the town of Neustadt am Rübenberge which consists of about 32 little towns... some are * Amedorf
* Basse
* Bevensen
* Bordenau
* Borstel
* Dudensen
* Eilvese
* Hagen
* Helstorf
* Laderholz/Mandelsloh
* Mardorf
* Nöpke
* Poggenhagen
* Schneeren
* Stöckendrebber
* Vesbeck
My Schulte ancestors came from this region. I am researching: Neimeier, Mahler, Schultze, Schulte, Bartling, Beerman, Knigge, Knust, Krumwiede, Rabe, Rodewalt/Rodewald, Dunsing and Vollberding.
Hope that helps.Joy

Ha anyone run across a reference to an old German town called Wedem Amt
Wolpe. I have records from a church in Bensenville Illinois that this is
where 2 of my ancestors were born.
Thanks,
Carole
