Dear Virginia, Where did he settle in the U.S.? Sinse he was your GF or GGF..Do you know where he is buried? If not do you know where your GFF is buried? Was there obituary regarding your most recent GF in the U.S.?
If there is..does it give clues to possible religious affiliation? If so..might give clue. Did your most recent G have siblings perhaps? Any information to be deduced by siblings?
Have U.S. census records helped? Barbie St. Louis

Subject: [HN] Family search Date: Fri, 28 May 2004 23:11:45 -0500I am looking for information on my Great-grandfather BornJune22,1855 in Hannover Kingdom. He came to the US in 1864 as a 9 yr. old boy.His name in English was William Henry Feld. I have no knowledge of his parents name, or if he had sieblings. We had the impression they were deceased. There must be Birth and death records somewhere, and someone must have sponsored him here in the US._______________________________________________ Hannover-L mailing list Hannover-L(a)... http://list.genealogy.net/mailman/listinfo/hannover-l
