Betreff: ROLL CALL Hi, I'm searching my familyname FEDERSCHMIDT (sometimes written FEDERSCHMID). As far as I know, all bearers of this name somehow came from Franken, somewhere close to Gunzenhausen. Anyone interested? Any information welcom! karl(a)feder.wupper.de Karl Federschmidt Duisbergstr. 25 D-42327 Wuppertal

Just wanted to announce that my web page on my Franconian Heritage is now up. It focuses on the area of the Lower Main, particularly in the area of Aschaffenburg. Featured are excerpts from a family book that was kept by my ancestors during the period 1680-1830, a database of families from my ancestral villages, a photo gallery of local villages and links to numerous other Franconian sites. The URL is: http://www.geocities.com/~brooms/bavaria/ I would appreciate comments from you more experienced Franconian researchers. I hope to add much more to this site as time goes by and knowledge increases. Joe Broom broomjoe(a)email.msn.com

Great site Joe. Some of the photos remind me of the town of Bischofsheim. Do you know what the village is in the one of the "Images of Villages Around Aschaffenburg" happens to be? I am working on a Bischofsheim site but haven't uploaded it to my geocities site yet. Will let you know. Hi, The villages are all identified. I'm not sure to which picture you are referring. I remember seeing Bischofsheim on the map at one point but can't locate it now. Where is it? What towns is it near?
