In 1921 my great aunt received a letter from Hilbrich Ulfers postmarked Wittmund, Germany. He or She was related to my great uncle Rickliff Janssen born 1835 in Leepens. He came to US with my gr grandmother, Antke Margreta Janssen in 1854. There were two other brothers that came to US-Edward and Frederick. Would like to contact the other members of the Janssen family who remained in Germany-Roolf b.1826, Engel Maria b 1810 mar. Conrad Wilhelm Ullferts, Gesche Margaretha b. 1814 mar JOHANN Ricklefs, and Heyke Janssen b.1818 mar Talke Schoenbohn. Their parents were Hinrich Janssen and Hiemke Heiken. I'm trying to find my great-grandmother Gerdina Himka Cramer, born 1867, possibly in Thunum, Ostfriesen. She is not listed in the US Census of 1880, so I don't think she had left Germany yet. She married Enno-Eilert Neptun from Prussia after arriving in the USA.

Looking for information on Katharina Hüschen or Huischen born about 1846 in Roggenstede, Esens Ostfriesland. She had a brother named Siede Huischen born about 1836. Katharina was married to Andrew Peters and they had 3 daughters, Bertha, Elise & Annie. Andrew died and Katharina married a Jacob Hartman born about 1855. The immigrated to the US and lived in the Hancock Co. Illinois area and then the Clarke Co. iowa area. Any information would be appreciated.
