Liebe Mitforscher,

ich bin zur Zeit in Kontakt mit Marcin MALIK in Polen, der seine Vorfahren in
Schonowitz (Kirchengemeinde Grzendzin (Grenzen, Grenzburg), Kreis Cosel)
sucht. Ein weiterer Name ist ANDERKA. Er erwähnt auch etwas von einem
umfangreichen Familienbuch MALIK in Deutschland. Weißß jemand etwas hierüber?
Ich selbst wäre auch hieran interessiert.

Dear all,

I am currently in contact with Marcin Malik who is searching his ancestors in Silesia,
parish Grzendzin (village Schonowitz), Kreis Cosel. He is looking for MALIK and also for
the ANDERKA. Can someone help.
He also mentioned a family regarding the MALIK family which should be available
in Germany. Does someone know something about this? I am also interested in this.

When I send @-mail to you I didn't expect so great answer. I really appreciate 
and thank you for infos that you sent to me.

 (I found you when I beeing a little desperate about looking for infos about my ancestors and Schonowitz) 
I typed  Schonowitz in GOOGLE, COM and find your homepage.) 

First I want to tell you that I'm not the descendant of Joseph Malik from Schonowitz and unfortunetely I 
can't provide you any information about him or his wife Catharina Josko. I'm descendant of Andres (Andreas) Malik 
Haeusler from Schonowitz, who is a bit a mistery for me I know only that he and his Frau Josefa geboren Anderka
 are the parents of my gr-gr grandfather Johann Malik (Brunnenbauer) born 9 Juli 1843 (getauft 10 Juli) in Schonowitz.

It's very possible that father of Joseph Malik - Lorenz Malik Haeusler aus Schonowitz was a father of Andres Malik my 
gr... Grandfather. But It could be also Paul Malik another Haeusler from Schonowitz. So It's a open matter. So Joseph Malik 
born 1811,Haeusler from Schonowitz could be a brother of Andres Malik Haeusler from Schonowitz born probably ? around 
1800-1815. (His son Johannn born in 1843).

Maybe you could explain me how looked situation of Haeusler in Oberschlesien in those times. Was my gr... grandfather Andres a 
 free person or rather he was part of landowner property. It's important to me because this knowledge can help me find out where 
my ancestor Andres could be born - only in Schonowitz or maybe somewhere else?

Are your ancestors related someway to family Anderka?

At the moment my knowledge about family history is mainly based on notes of my Grandfather Alois Malik who copied it from 
typical for late XIX century Oberschlesien "Malik Family Book" which is located unfortunetly in Germany (German Malik's) 
so I don't have now access to this great resource of information. Majority of those books was destroyed thru the long and violent history
 but if it's a chance that your Family Book still exist you should try to find it.
