I found on an Ellis Island ship manifest that my ancestors were born in (what 
looks like):

BIRNKWITZ

I believe it is in Silesia in the late 1800's.  Has anyone every heard of 
this place? Where is it? I have other ancestors from the Reinerz, county of 
Glaz, area.

I'm researching the surnames:
LISCHKE and JANKOWSKI
Any info on the above would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry but I can't read or write in German, only English.
