[SCI] Tracing your genetic roots

Dear Sabina,

I didn't even know I had a great grandmother, MARIANNA MATUSCHEK, until a couple of months ago. I don't have much information on her. She was married to my great grandfather, VINCENT GRITTNER. One document indicates they lived in Tillowitz but the birthplace of all seven children is listed as Grabine, Ligota Bialska. These places are just a few miles apart.

The information I have came from my cousin's on site visit to an LDS Family History Center. I checked their web site and they do have a few MATUSCHKE's listed.
So maybe they have more at their centers.

Happy hunting,

Distant cousin Addie

  Hello Adeline,

I just saw your E-mail to the Silesian list. My family on my mother's side
is from Silesia and they are very hard to trace. I noticed you were looking
for the name Matuschek. Could that be a variation of Matuschke? My mother's
maiden name was Matuschke. She was born in Gottesberg and then the family
  moved to Prausnitz.
You are the first one I have seen looking for a name coming anywhere close to
Matuschke. Hope to hear from you.
