Dear Gerd,

Thanks for informing us about the articles.  We live in an exciting time,
albeit a scary one.  I can foresee a time when it will be required at birth
that each child will have to have its DNA on record.  Will insurance
companies cover someone if their DNA indicates cancer, diabetes,
Parkinson's, etc.?

But it could certainly assist the amateur genealogist track down those
elusive ancestors.  I guess it all boils down to adequate, readily
accessible records.
