thanks for your response about Wubbeler.  I would very  much be interested in 
any information that you have on the Wubbeler side of the  family.  My 
husband, David is from Cincinnati.  David's grandmother is  Rose Wubbeler Wilke.

The following definitions  for the words  are from the  "German - English 
Genealogical Dictionary" by Ernest  Thode

cond. abbr for (Lat) conditio, mng. "also known as; occupation or  station  
in 
life"
stemple - stamp
natus    - (male)  born; son; age

Therefore, a possible meaning is "The son is also known  as  Stemple"

My grand  mother's on my fathers side.  Her name was Elizabeth (nee  Unkraut)
Hellmann.  Her father was Franz Unkraut he came from  Goldensted, Germany.
Franz's mother was Elisabeth (nee Wubbeler)  Unkraut.

I live in Edgewood, KY. Edgewood is a few miles south of  Covington, KY.
Covington is across the river from Cincinnati, OH.

I  may have some records to help you.
