May I try out my translation? Ronald, Werner is the expert in German, but, it is a cute poem. Here is what Herr Wierhake's rendition seems to say:
Hog butchers, in the middle of the week, urge you to come and order bacon or something!

Business was probably slow in the middle of the week, and so, they did a bit of advertising, come and get it!
