I am looking for information about August Beckerman (Backermann) and Anna Margarite Brunken.  They came to the Texas in 190l.  They were traveling with their four children, Alvin Dietrich, Jane Hellen, Charles, and Carl Frederick Beckerman.  Alvin was my father.  I have his birth certificate from Rodenkirchen, Oldenberg, dated March 28, 1898, from the Lutheran Church.  It states that Anna Margarite Brunken was a widow, formerly Kapels.  Does anyone know how I can get more information on my ancestry?  I would like to plan a trip there next year.
