Have you tried a Google search for "johann heinrich niemeyer" (including the quotation marks)? I found quite a number of hits. A number of my family members are from the area east of Osnabrück, which comes up "Hannover" in a lot of census records. These people settled in the southeast Indiana, Cincinnati, northern Kentucky area. I realize Niemeyer is a very common name, so the above might not be any help, but just in case..... Good luck!
