   :Lisa,
John and Mary came with Harmon or Herman at the same time. In fact they are on the 1850 census with the spelling of Kors or Kars, with Mary and Bernard H. I think that their land was only one or two away from where Herman and his Mary were.

Do you know about what year they came to Effingham area? I have looked in
the 1860 census of Effingham County for you only found a Coores family.
Harmon, Mary ( Parents) age 52 and 48. with a Joseph, Anna and Clemens
listed as children. Could this be the "brother" you mentioned below?.
However, even if they are not listed in St. Anthony's parish records (
which was the German Catholic Parish in the "town".) ( The other parish was
typically the Irish Catholic Parish) There are several Country parishes
where they might be found. I know the Dasenbrock name is popular in the
area. Let me know if I can be of further help.

Sincerely,

I have a Bernard Heinrich KOORS who was born in Cincinnati in 1843. He is
a
son of Johann Heinrich KOORS and Maria KALKMAN. Bernard married Catherine
Maria Dasenbrock on Nov 22, 1870. I have no further information.

I looked in the cemetery book for St Anthony Church in Effingham. The only
Koors burried there are:

John B KOORS 15 Jan 1872 - 20 April 1940
Clara M KOORS 15 Nov 1878 - 7 July 1944
Catherine Francis KOORS dau of T J & M L 15 Feb 1911 - 3 Feb 1912
Florence KOORS dau of John and C 7 June 1913 - 7 Aug 1913

Neither Bernard nor his wife is listed in the book. I do not have the book
for the other Effingham Catholic Church.

My John or Henry Koors left the Cincinnati area and moved to Effingham co.,

in Kenton co., KY, but I can't find it. He also had a brother Herman who
moved at the same time. Wish I had more information.

I am trying to find some information on my g-grandfather, John Henry Koors

He married a Mary or Maria Kalkmann. I don't know if it was before or after
the immigration to USA. Their oldest child, Bernard was born in 1843 in
Cincinatti, Ohio. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,
I've read the informations below with great interest because I'm working on
the parish registers of Goldenstedt.
Up to now I can correct and complete the dates as follows:
1) Johann Diederich Coors was born 29-Jul-1813 in Einen, part of the
village Goldenstedt; he was baptized on 30-Jul-1813 (register Number:
1813/14);
2) Johann Herman Coors was born 27-Sep-1817 in Einen, part of the village
Goldenstedt; he was baptized on 28-Sep-1817 (register Number: 1817/30);
3) The parents of the two brothers were: Johann Henrich Coors and Anna
Helena Macke. They married 06-Aug-1805 at Goldenstedt (register Number:
1805/07).

Hello Kim,
there was a cottage Kohrs in Damme(Oldenburg) part Rottinghausen, since
1874
Pellenwessel.
In Damme is only one address today:

Wilhelm Koors
Drosselpfad 5
49401 Damme

Have you more details?

Werner Honkomp

I am looking for information regarding the Koors family from Oldenburg.
They
may be spelled in a variety of ways but Koors is what I am interested in.
Probably John Koors, born early 1800's.

Thanks so much.
Kim Koors
