Hello List, I, too, have an Addicks or two, in my tree. Margaretha Addicks born circa 1745 married Anton Friedrich Wedemeyer 8 June 1769. He was the customs collector in Delmenhorst. She died there 31 May 1777. Her father was Addick Addicks, zollpaechter. They had two children: Susanna Helena Wedemeyer b. 25 Apr 1771 and Addick Anton Wedemeyer b. 24 June 1773. Anton Friedrich Wedemeyer married again. This time, to a Margaretha Addix of Suederfeld/Hammelwarden. I think the chances are good that both his wives were related despite the variant spelling. He had 5 more children with her, all born in Delmenhorst. I think there must be some connection to some of the other Addickses mentioned. Can anyone help?
