Hello, I, too, am interested in my relatives in the Oldenburg families Gerdes and Schrandt. Talke Gerdes, b. 7/3/1712, d. 3/20/1803 m. Martin Gerhard Künnen, b. 9/23/1708, d. 1784. I believe that they are my great (4) grandparents. I have 14 people with the surname Gerdes in my database, which you can view at: http://www.gencircles.com/users/BruceKuennen/28 I am less directly related to the Schrandts, but I have 128 folks in my database with that surname. The oldest is Joan Albert Schrandt, b. Between 1754 and 1783, d. Between 1818 and 1846. Because the Schrandts married into three branches of my ancestry - Kuennen, Huinker, and Einck - in America, I have 37 pages of descendants for Joan Albert. I am currently reviewing Family History microfilms, Films Number 0920174 & 0920175, parts of the Lastrup Kirchenbuch. Both surnames are appearing there frequently. I am happy to share and/or receive further information about these families.
