This isn't Oldenburg but it's close.  Also in the 1700s a couple of
half-brothers of my ancestor moved from a village east of Osnabrück to
Holland.  They fathered some children and I now have zillions of cousins
in Holland, and a few in Australia, South Africa, and Michigan.  :-)
