Unfortunately, you don't read Danish (I presume!). Otherwise, you could 
read about the Swedish-Danish war 1675-79 in Politikens Danmarkshistorie 
VIII, pp. 161 ff, and about the peace establihed as a result of the 
intervention by Louis XIX in 1779 pp. 249 ff. In general France and 
other nations were not interested in the Sound (Øresund between Zealand 
and Scania) being controlled entirely by either Denmark or Sweden. 
Hence, Louis XIX in 1779 occupied Oldenburg and forced Denmark to give 
up the territories it had won during the war.
