Hi Betty/Jim.
Go to Google & type in, Die Maus Society.

When the page comes up on the left side of the page you will find, Online Data Bases, click on these & you will have a number of choices. If you know the town/village that you're ancestors come from, then the Family book of that town is very useful. The directions are often available in English, click on the American or English flag & you generally get an English translation, not all have as yet been translated so you may have to gain entry to the data base by clicking on "Namenlisten.
The Die Maus data bases are the very best in the world & one can trace the family line , simply by clicking on the name of the person. Unfortunately they are only for the general Bremen area, however the Family books are for much of Germany, where they have been published.I have One for Stotel near Bremen which is in print but not on the electronic data base, I have no ides if others are similarly available in print form?

If Your Ancestors where from Bremen , then you will find them in the DM Data Banks.

Kindest regards Bill HINTE.
