Hi,

I have been a long time member of this list, but this is the first time I've
I have posted to the list.

Recently I learned that my BUECHNER ancestors (and allied names listed In
subject line) lived in or near Hasbergen-Delmenhorst, Niedersachsen,
Germany. I know that they attended Hasbergen's Lutheran church of St.
Laurentius, as I have made email contact with Pastor Meyer-Schurg.

I am researching in this area and would like to learn whether I still have
relatives in this area. If you are related to any of these names, I would
love to correspond with you. Perhaps we are cousins.

Since learning that my families lived in this area, I am eager to learn as
much as I can about the surrounding area, especially Hasbergen.
Unfortunately, I do not speak/read German, but I am looking for books that
describe the local history of the area.

Do any travel brochures in English exist? Histories in English? If so,
please list the bibliographical information. I would like to obtain them
from a library.

Thanks.

Meanwhile, I will visit the familysearch.org website for more sources. I
will also keep looking on the popular genealogical websites. I am a
subscriber to Ancestry.com, New England Historic Genealogical Society,
genealogy.com. I also use Google.com's "translate" feature whenever I
search in the German domain websites.

My public family tree is on ancestry.com, titled "Buechner Family Tree as of
27 Nov 2007" if anyone would like to view it. My user name on the site is:
"JeanieW79".
