It surely is "am verflossenen Donnerstag" = "last thursday", literally "the thursday that has floated by". I have done pretty well except for one word. I am not sure that this is the proper spelling but does anyone know what this could possibly be. I think that it is "verflosienen". I have trouble distinguishing between the letter "f" and the letter "s" so it could be "verslosienen" or "verslofienen". I will give you the entire sentence. > > "Am verflosienen Donnerstag fand (or sand) vom Trauerhause, No. 2813 Meramec Str. aus, die Beerdigung des am Dienstag, den 17 November, um hohen Alter von 85 Jahren verstorbene, Ferdinand Meyrose statt." > > Thanks for any help. > > Barb >Oldenburg-L mailing list >Oldenburg-L(a)genealogy.net >http://list.genealogy.net/mailman/listinfo/oldenburg-l >
