Liebe Heinz,
Danke schoen! You are so nice. Now I have one more piece of the family puzzle.
My ancestor Hermann Anton Friederich did indeed have an older brother Johann Friederich! He got the family business, a gastwirt, and their father paid money so he did not go into the army. The two younger brothers went to America.

May I ask where you looked at this information?

      Many thanks for your help.

Nicole Champaign, Illinois USA (two hours south of Chicago)

      Hello Nicole,

this looks like the marriage of a brother of Hermann Anton Friederich
Wedemeyer:

      Church Register of Ganderkesee:

      oo 9 Oct 1853
Johann Friedrich Wedemeyer, geb. 26 Juni 1819, Bürger und
Zimmerbaumeister zu Oldenburg,
des Gastwirths und Bürgers zu Delmenhorst Hinrich Wedemeyer
      u. weil. Fr. Sophie Cathrine geb. Stolle, ehel. Sohn
      mit
Helene Theodore Johanna Elise Goose, geb. 1 Apr 1824,
des Amtmanns Johann Gottlieb August Goose zu Falkenburg
      u. weil. Fr. Caroline Friederike Cathrine geb.Greverus ehel.Tochter

It's the only Wedemeyer-marriage in Ganderkesee.

      Kind Regards

      Heinz Wiemann
