Hello/Hallo:
I am new to the list. I am searching for any information on the Wedemeyer family, who lived in Delmenhorst at least through the 1840's. My ggg grandfather was Hermann Anton Friederich Wedemeyer who emmigrated to New Orleans in 1846. He was the son of Hinrich Wedemeyer, and grandson of Anton Friederich Wedemeyer, both customs collectors in Delmenhorst. Before that, I believe they lived in Rastede, where the father of Anton Friederich, Hinrich Gerhard Wedemeyer, was the organist and schoolmaster at the Lutheran church there. The surnames of their wives are: Stolle, Addix and Fischbeck.
Thank you/Danke schoen!
Nicole Wedemeyer Miller
