YES! I already got him to my database.

His correct name was Johan (with one "n") and his generation is so
far back, so the familyname was spelled Wachendorp.
 From Johan back - I got further 8 generations, and I'am the 7x great
nephew of him. ;o)


I guess that makes us related.  He's my 6th great-grandfather by his
daughter, Metta Margareta.  Do you have any information regarding his
other children?

I have little information on Claus. According to the 1900 U.S. Census,
he was born December 1839. His wife, Anna, born October 1839, son Carl
or Charles, born February 1869, and daughter Wilhelmina born August
1874(?? I have three different years for her: 1871, 1874, and 1877).
They emigrated to the U.S. in 1895.

His son Carl owned a farm next to my grandfather's farm, and married
Gesina Sophie Mueller, daughter of Hinrich Friedrich Müller (1 Dec 1836)
of Hohenböken. Hinrich was the brother to two of my ancestors.

ok - WACHTENDORF Carl Hinrich is the 3 x great grandson of WACHENDORP Johan.
