In my ancestor search I have come with the next information:

 

1. Jann Speckmann was born on 26-12-1818 in Schirum (D), son of Harm Hinrich
Speckmann and Harmke Hinrichs. Jann died on 30-01-1896 on Schirum, at the
age of 77 years. Jann married Gesche Dirks. Gesche was born on 06-07-1823 in
Schirum. Gesche died on 18-05-1904 on Schirum, at the age of 80 years. 

Children of Jann and Gesche : 

1 Dirk Speckmann, born in Schirum (Date ?) : Follow 1.1 
2 Hinrich Speckmann, born on 07-12-1857 in Schirum

3 Gesche Speckmann, born 17-01-1862 in Schirum 

 

Gesche Speckmann was born January 17, 1862 at Aurich (Schirum) In the year
1880 she, in the company of relatives (Who are those relatives ?),
immigrated to America and temporarily made her home at Sterling, Illinois.
In the following year she was married to Dirk Schmidt.
Five years later, in 1886, they moved to a farm in the vicinity of Wahoo,
Nebraska

 

Dirk Schmidt, who was born in Aurich, Germany, on the 19th of May, 1851, a
son of Jergen and Sika (Dirk) Schmidt, The father,  passed away in Germany
in 1880, but the mother came to the United States with her family and
located in Sterling, Illinois, where she died about 1910

 

1. 1 Dirk Speckmann was born in Schirum, son of Jann Speckmann and Gesche
Dirks. Dirk married Maria Schmidt. Maria was born on 20-03-1850 in Wiesens
(D). Maria died on 15-05-1899, at the age of 49 years. 

Children of Dirk and Maria : 

1 Gesche Speckmann, born in Schirum 
2 Anna Speckmann, born in Schirum 

3 Jann (John) Speckmann, born on 21-05-1876 in Schirum. 

 

1.1.3 Jann (John) Speckmann was born on 21-05-1876 in Schirum, Occupation:
Farmer

 

John immigrated to the USA at the MS SPREE from Bremen to New York  at
27-Feb.-1891.

I expect that John lived with his uncle and aunt in Wahoo ?


John married Emma Passo. In Wahoo. Emma was born on 21-10-1882 Germany. Emma
died on 11-04-1950, at the age of 67 years. John died on 25-10-1961 in
Wahoo, at the age of 85 years. 

 

I  would like to have the following information

Are  Dirk and Maria Schmidt  brother and sister?

Who are the relatives of Gesche Speckmann who travelled to the USA
