The southern catholic part of former Dukedom Oldenburg, called Oldenburger Münsterland, shows some old Menke farms in Visbek, Langförden-Bergstrup, Bakum-Harme, Bakum-Schledehausen, Lohne-Brägel, Steinfeld-Ondrup, Damme-Rottinghausen-Greven. No Minke. I have only records from Steinfeld, it listed:

Anton Menke, born 24.May.1837, parents: Johan Henrich Arnd Menke - Maria Agnes Schlärmann

Martens is a name from the lutheran north part of Oldenburg.
Empfingen is a small town in southern of Germany - far away from Oldenburg, there some Hipp addresses.
