I have in the "Ohio Münsterland" the following:
   Anton Steltenpohl
   and his wife Maria Agnes (geb. ??)
They are presumably from Steinfeld.
They possibly lived for some time in Cincinnati.
I have no other information for them, other than
land records.

Hello Lois,

there are two Steltenpohl lines in that area, one from Damme and the other from Steinfeld/Mühlen.
The origin is Mühlen, part of Steinfeld.
I traced just together with Mrs Steltenpohl the line of her husband from Steinfeld to the States, I think this is not your Heinrich Steltenpohl.
Have you the date of birth of Henrich Steltenpohl from Damme?

Hello, 

We are trying to find Heinrich Steltenpohl who came to America in 1833.
There is a note that he is in a book Emigrants from Former Amt Damme,
Oldenburg, Germany.  Does any one have information on this family.
Supposedly from Alsace.  Checked the Passenger Lists Index 1500-1900 but
found only name and date.  No other information.
