The German phone directory shows not the place Heurel or the name Heurel.
Could it be Hurrel, this is a farm group easterly of the town Oldenburg, part of Hude.
There some Oetken and Schuette addresses, like this:

Schütte, Anita u. Günter
 Hurreler Str. 9
 27798 Hude

Bürstel (not Burstel) is also a farm Group, few km south from Hurrel, a part of Ganderkesee.
There are also a lot of Schuette and Oetken addresses.

Johann Hinrich Schuette (schulhalter) m. anna Catharine geb. Oetken
Heurel 1796. Does that mean that her entire surname is Oetken Heurel.
Was that common for women to have two surnames?
Also, how would I find out who came before these two people from
Burstel, OL?
