Hello List,

I have been following the list for some time and am impressed with the help that is furnished by people living in Oldenburg.  You are all to be commended.  

I am looking for information on my 3rd. great grandparents, Johann Fredrick August Behrendt/Behrens and Magdalena  Henrietta Fahrenholtz.  Johann was born in Oldenburg on 26 Feb 1842 to Berend Behrens and Helene Bolses.  Magdalena was born in Vilsen on 10 Jun 1949 to Heinrich Wilhelm Fahrenholtz  and Sofia Lesemann.  Johann and Magdalena were married in Vilsen on 7 Apr 1873.  

They immigrated to Chicago, IL, USA in June of 1885 along with children, Bernard, Heinrich, Sofia and August. They lived in Illinois and Michigan until their deaths.

I would like information on Berend and Helene Behrens as well as sibling information on both Johann and Magdalena.  I do not know what parish the church information would be in or where they lived.  I do know that my great grandfather, Bernard and his siblings were born in Bremen.  Any help or advise would be appreciated.

For anyone who is in this line, I have a large quantity of information to exchange on the descendants of Johann and Magdalena.
