Dear Readers,

 

My great grandfather lived in Oberlethe ,Oldenburg, his occupation was
arbeiter und heuerman . His sons migrated to Groningen , Netherlands , their
occupation was stukadoor (plasterer?)  as I understand this was quite common
in the 1800 - . Is there some information or literature about these
migrations and how  and why they became stukadoor?
