That makes a big difference in Oldenburg. The original Duchy was just about 100% Protestant while the addition of Southern Oldenburg (the Niederstift of the Prince Bishopric of Münster) in 1803 added an area which was just about 100% RC to the Archduchy. So we can often determine via the religion of people from which part of Oldenburg they came.
Werner looked into the current telephone books and only found some Rollmanns in the Protestant north. But that is today. I would certainly check in the archives of Vechta if they have any Rollmann either from that county or from Cloppenburg. Personally I've never heard the name down there but that means nothing. You still need to look there.
