Kitty,

I read your post and wonder if we have a connection for our Brundiercks, since Winobst and Ehren and Lodbergen are all neighboring villages [We've been there a couple of times and driven the area, met some distant relatives who warmly welcomed us].

About the same time your Johannes Gerhardus B was born in 1760, I have an ancestress, Susanna Brundircks born in 1748. She was one of 8 children, with the youngest child, Agnes, born in Sep. 1760, all in Ehren, baptized at St. Vitus.

Their parents were Johann Hermann Wilhelm BRUNE/BRUNDIRKS [name was spelled both ways at different times] born 7 Nov 1713, and Gesina TOBBEN, born in Herzlake, a neighboring parish, I don't have her birth record yet.

Johann Hermann Wilhelm was born to a dad whose first name was illegible to me, surname was spelled BRUNDIRCKS at his baptism 09 Sep 1681. JHW's mom was Agnes Einhuss of Hesselune. The couple married at St. Vitus 22 Nov 1712.

The previous generation is interesting. The [illegible] Brundircks dad was Gerhard ENNEMAN, and the mom was Walburgis [nicknameWobeke] BRUNNE, born 16 June 1652, in Ehren. She must have inherited her family farm, as Gerhard Enneman took her surname at marriage. They had a second child that I know of, Ptolomaus Brune, bap. 15 Jan 1658. There could have been more children, I only know of these two.
