   Hi Jo:
I believe that Hauswirthin translates somewhat to "Land lady". It
made me ask myself the question. "Is a landlady the owner of
property, or a manager?" In the States, I would say owner, but in
Germany one would have to know the custom. Something which will have
to be answered by some else on the list.
The name Boetze was more than likely Bötze the ö = oe. I would guess
that the Boitze is an American variation. Look for all three and then
confirm with other data such as birth dates, etc.

The Family History Center/LDS/Mormons has information on
Oldendorf(s). But since you did not state in what area of Germany
the villages are, I would not know which Oldendorf you should be
looking at. I could make a guess, but speculation can run into a lot
   of unecessary work.

I received church record last year and I am attempting to make
sense of the whole thing. I am curious about this term
Hauswirthin for the woman. Is she a temporary land owner. How did
they allow that? Or is until she marries, etc. Perhaps her children
take over and she remains a widow?
Also, I am not sure if Boetze is Boitze. It must be?
I can use all the help I can get.
I also have another question which I will do next.
     thank you
