you will find various archives involved in the Kingdom of Hannover.

A general search given the name Wedemeyer returns 188 hits in the
archiv. My suggestion would be to gather all your facts and write to
the archiv director of the Osnabrück archive and let them do the
research for you. I'm saying that because without as knowledge of
German navigating the resources can be tough.

Here are just some of the wedemeyer entries:

.1849 . .1851
Dep. 118 Nr. 991 Hauptstaatsarchiv Hannover Gevetter Wedemeyer,
Kläger, wider Bürgermeister und Rat der Stadt Eldagsen, Beklagte,
wegen Pfändung mehrerer Schweine . .1798 . .1800
Hann. 86 Hameln Acc. 143/90 Nr. 34/0245 fehlt Hauptstaatsarchiv
Hannover es fehlt: Wedemeyer, Hermann, geb. 17.01.1900, aus
Marienstein, Kr. Northeim, wegen versuchten schweren Diebstahls im
Rückfall und unbefugten Waffenbesitzes, Transport zum
Gerichtsgefängnis Göttingen . .1933 . .1934
Hann. 74 Burgdorf-Ilten Nr. 499 Hauptstaatsarchiv Hannover
...Oberamtmanns Wedemeyer als Inhaber der einen Hälfte des Ahltener
Zehntens und weiland Johann Heinrich Wöhlers zu Ahlten nachgelassene
minorenne Töchter, in Vormundschaft des Thiele Heinrich Dreye...

On second thought, they do have an Enflish version:

That shopuld get you going.
