I have been searching for my Dieke family for years and have had no luck.  All I know is that my gg grandfather, Heinrich Dieke born January 1817 and came to Illlinois ca. 1845 from some village in the Kingdom of Hannover.



I believe that Don Roddy told me the full name of his gg grandmother some time ago, but I don't now remember what her name was.  I have Degener family from Rodewald, Hannover and there was a Deeke in the church records in Rodewald but nothing regarding Heinrich Dieke.

Don, I made a call and no one seems to know much.  According to
ncestry.com they probably came from Holzhausen, Westfalen, Preussen.  I
