Adelebsen seems like a very likely match. The town would have been close enough to her husband and seems like it could easily be a spelling or pronunciation error.
Thank you so much Joan! I would be lost without that suggestion.
I guess the next question would be what records exist for the area around the time of her birth in 1814? And are they easily accessable through the Family History Library or some other organization? I've checked the FHL catalog for a few different areas and haven't seen anything from around 1814.
Also, is Adelebsen still in Hannover? I've seen it listed in Braunschweig in at least one gazetteer.
