Is there a difference between Meyer and Mayer?

Hello Mr., Mss. noname ... ;-)

No,
there is no difference between Meyer, Mayer, Meier, Maier
in case you?ll find it as a surname in german records.

Look at this links:
http://wiki.genealogy.net/wiki/Meyer_%28Familienname%29

http://wiki.genealogy.net/wiki/Mayer_%28Familienname%29

http://wiki.genealogy.net/wiki/Maier_%28Familienname%29

But don?t mix it up with the germen Word "Molkerei" which is
a factory where the farmer bring their milk to fix it into butter
and chees. Look at this linnk:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molkerei

In northern germany, this factory often was called "Meierei"
and the man who worked there was called "Meierist", or
"Meiermeister" or "Molkereimeister".

I hope this helps.
