Hello all the english speaking freinds,
looking for birthday, day of death or other dates
in old churchbooks in evangelical Kingdom of Hannover.

Here I give you some advise to find the *correct* date if you
find name of the sunday only, instead of TT.MM.JJJJ / dd.mm.yyyy
in the database, for exampel:

sunday, "Ostern 1700"
sunday, "Jubilate 1700"
sunday, "3. Sonntag post Trinitatis 1700"
sunday, "Sexagesimae 1700"
etc.

als TT.MM.JJJJ in ihre Computer speichern.

anybody who looks for some events in churchbooks in former
kingdom of Hanover, to put them in the dd.mm.yyyy-form in
the computer.


Hiermit gebe ich meine Erkenntnisse über den Zeitpunkt der
Kalenderreform in *unserem* Forschungsgebiet wider, die immer
dann von großer Wichtigkeit sind, wenn man in den Kirchenbüchern
Sonntags-Daten findet die *nicht* als TT.MM.JJJJ angegeben wurden,
sondern z.B.:

Ostern 1700
Himmelfahrt 1700
3. Sonntag nach Trinitatis 1700

Die Umstellung vom alten, dem Julianischen Kalender zum
*neuen*, dem Gregorianischen Kalender geschah im Königreich Hannover
am 18. Februar 1700, dem dann unmittelbar der 1. März 1700

folgte, also mit einer "Datunslücke" von exakt 10 Tagen.

The change from the "old" calendar -the julianischer calendar-
to the "new" calendar -the gregorianische calendar- took place
in the year 1700. After the 18th of february follows strictly
the 1st of march. Theroretical they lost 10 days in 1700.

You?l find an one-step-form to chance a sunday into dd.mm.yyyy
if you choose either (jul.) or (greg.) here:

- in kingdom Hannover up to 18 th of february 1700- choose (jul.)
- in kingdom Hannover after 1 st of march 1700-> choose (greg.)
This is according to the protestant country only, but
Kingdom of Hannover was an evangelic country.

(is there anybody in the air who might translate it in
better english than I did?!)
