Madison County Illinois? There are few other Drape listed Madison and 
nearby Richview.

searching for Lewis, Caroline or Alice..

Thanks! I have all the American documentation. Francis, by the way, was 
the son on Mary Drape & Henry Steingrandt. They actually came to 
Springfield from St. Louis. THey landed in New York from Bremen in 1838, 
and presumably went straight to the St. Louis area, where they were 
enummerated by the census in 1840. Francis was born in the U.S.

Springfield is SW part of Missouri. Perhaps your Steingrandt/Drape family

Hello

Does anyone have any info/research on the Drape family from
Barsinghausen? One of my ancestors married a Mary Drape in the U.S. in
1847, but I am having trouble finding their origins. All I know is that
Mary was from Hannover, and that there is an immigration record for a whole
family of Drapes coming from Barsinghausen to Baltimore in 1835.
