Seeking others who have members of this small family. I have found four boys of my great-grandfather's same age and name in the 1851 Census Index in just the sections available so far! Perhaps you can help me to eliminate one or a few of them from further consideration! My Johann Friedrich Heinrich Gansberg said he emigrated to avoid military service in 1864, according to family legend and the US Censuses. However, the only plausible immigrant I have been able to locate in online passenger lists, a "J.F.H. Gansberg" who is listed as occupation: "Country Man," came much earlier. If a real owner of that immigrant --- or of one of the "Fredericks" born 1848-1849 --- is on this Mailing List, will he or she please contact me ASAP? Thank you! Maureen
