     It is strange that I don't find your August Ge(h)rke in the site:

there. 

   For what it's worth--there are some people with the name of Stelloh in
Sulingen today according to the German phone book:

I checked on the name Gerke and Ge(h)rke in the phone book and there are
none in Sulingen today.
