I'm new to this list, and not even sure it's the correct list for my research. Surnames I'm researching are ECKSTEIN, WESSING, and SHUSTER. My ggrandfather Erhard ECKSTEIN, s/o David and Henriette (SHUSTER) ECKSTEIN, was a 21 year old cabinet maker from Coburg who sailed out of Bremen and arrived in New York in Sept 1853 to work for the Steinway Piano Co. He married Johanna WESSING, d/o George WESSING. I believe they lived in Berka. Any help would be appreciated. If you prefer to respond in German, I have friends who can translate. Thank you in advance. Annie Bryant San Jose, California, USA ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
